Back to School
It's on-boarding season for new students and recruits! Which means? It's THE time to launch workshop against sexual and gender-based violence.
Prevent
Many prefer not to talk about it, I'm told, they would rather wait for cases to emerge and deal with it "quietly".
Let's imagine you live in an area where the risk of earthquakes is high. It goes without saying that safety advice is regularly communicated and that teams are prepared to react to the risk of earthquakes.
For sexual and gender-based violence... It's all the same!
Thanks to CEMS - HEC
At the start of the 2023 academic year, I'd like to extend my warmest thanks to HEC, and in particular to the CEMS program's administrative and pedagogical team, who have renewed their confidence in me for the 3rd year running to run the training program for international students.
Like every semester, this workshop enabled students (in groups of 30 for 3 h 30) to take part in role-playing exercises based on practical cases (taken from files of which I had personal knowledge), to exchange ideas with each other, to prepare arguments for oral presentations in the form of mini pleadings, to ask questions in order to gain a concrete understanding of the relevant legal categories (the basics: domestic violence, sexual violence, sexual harassment, rape, coercion, consent, etc.).
After the workshop, several students asked me: "Why didn't we have this type of workshop earlier in our university careers?"
My answer: "That's a good question! It's time to offer students more than just 30 minutes of e-learning on this subject."
I would like to extend my warmest thanks to all the students I have met and wish them joy and success in their personal and professional careers.
