I'd like to extend my warmest thanks to the Simone de Beauvoir Center, which yesterday organized a screening of Camille Juzza's documentary series "Toutes musclées" (arte) at the Cité audacieuse.
Following on from the ideas put forward to deconstruct stereotypes in student association activities a few weeks ago, here's a new idea:
Listen to the words of sports commentators and pick out the phrases, words and intonations that denigrate women, confirming the permanence of patriarchal power through sport.
Did you hear this when you were growing up? How did it make you feel?
Idea: rewrite sports commentaries without denigrating women... a whole ( ;-)) program.
